| Fisher Communications Announces Seattle Broadcasting Leadership Changes |
Aug 22, 2012 (Marketwire via COMTEX) -- Fisher Communications, Inc. ( Ms. Drafs, who most recently served as Vice President and Station Manager of KOMO-TV, has been named Vice President and General Manager of Fisher's Seattle broadcasting stations, effective September 1, 2012. A 25-year employee of Fisher Communications, she started with KOMO-TV as a Sales Assistant and held a number of positions of increasing responsibility, including Account Executive, Regional Marketing Executive for Business Development, Local Sales Manager and General Sales Manager for the station. "Janene is an accomplished leader who brings the full range of newsroom and sales experience, along with deep community knowledge, to this position," said Colleen Brown, President and CEO of Fisher Communications, Inc. "She has been instrumental to our success in the Seattle market, and we look forward to her continued contributions in this new role." Mr. Clayton has more than 40 years of service in the broadcasting industry and has led some of America's biggest and best television stations. Since joining Fisher in July 2006, Clayton has helped reshape Fisher's Seattle broadcast properties in many unique ways, including uniting the Company's TV, radio and online media platforms into the KOMO News Network brand; creating the Problem Solvers investigative unit at KOMO-TV; and developing Fisher's Hispanic market presence with KUNS.
